Jim recently send us a link of his 1982 Trek rebuilt to retrofit a Rohloff Speedhub. If you follow the link Trek 715 you will see some amazing pictures of what he did. The frame and finished project looks fantastic. It's not easy to easy to change a vertical dropout frame to a horizontal one but Jim managed to do it and it looks OEM.
I'm constantly amazed at how creative Rohloff owners are when it comes to retrofitting and finding different applications for the hub.
Thanks for sharing Jim and look for your Rohloff T-shirt in the mail!

beautiful looking conversion - those dropouts are really something. My only question would be on the use of a rear disc and front rim brake. I understand that the front fork won't take a disc brake as it was not built to take it, whilst the use of the paragons enable this to happen on the rear. Would it not make sense to put a different fork on the front to get a disc up there? I suspect the answer would be that it would mess with the original feel of the bike and change it's handling etc, but that's already happenned by changing the dropouts and installing the speedhub! Not a criticism at all, just a "what if?"!
